An exchange of missile strikes between Russians and Ukrainians took place in the last few hours.
Four ATACMS tactical ballistic missiles struck the Russian city of Voronezh — which was confirmed today by the Russian Ministry of Defence, although it claims that all the missiles were intercepted.
Subsequently, the Russians located and simultaneously destroyed the launchers of the Ukrainian missiles using Russian Iskander missiles. The destruction was total, and...
according to the Russians, the Ukrainian launcher crews were also eliminated.
It is noted that this was the first time since the election of Donald Trump and since the strike of the Russian Oreshnik missile on Dnipro on November 21, 2024, that the Ukrainians received permission to strike Russian territory with an ATACMS missile.
Voronezh is near the country’s border with Ukraine and is the capital of the region of the same name. It is built on the banks of the Voronezh River, just before its confluence with the Don, and lies approximately 587 kilometers in a straight line from Moscow.
For his own reasons related to remaining in power, the Ukrainian president has a consistent goal of directly involving NATO in the war against Russia, and this move is interpreted in that light, since Vladimir Putin had no room not to respond accordingly.
The sudden statements by German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius and the wave of additional statements from NATO and EU officials, who are suddenly speaking of an impending Russian attack on Europe, also point in this direction.
